Oh boy, it’s a little humid here. Not sure where the promised thunderstorms have got to, but the garden is steaming away at the moment.
I’ve spent the afternoon in my craft room where it is lovely and cool and made a couple of cards to share with you.
I’ve used the new Birthday Blossoms stamp set as I’ve a lot of birthday’s this coming week. Neither of these are being sent so it’s safe for me to post the photos here.
I’ve paired the first card with the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper stack. Some of the sheets are quite bright with lots of birthday cakes etc but the other sides have more muted designs that can be used for all sorts of cards.
For the second card I made my own background by simply stamping two different images – the flowers in Bermuda Bay and the leaves in Cucumber Crush.
Both of the card bases were made using the new Whisper White Heavy Cardstock. This new cardstock is 270 gsm as supposed to the general Whisper White which is 216 gsm. I’m already in love with the new heavier weight card and have added more to the order that I’m placing this weekend.
I couldn’t resist adding a little bling with the rhinestones. Just hoping that I didn’t over do it on the top card.
As a little added inspiration here’s the projects from the Annual Catalogue which features some of the stamps from the set that I’ve not used.
Details of the Stampin’ Up! products used on my cards are:
I adore the top card, definitely not too much bling – just the perfect amount! I think of the two that's actually my favourite. (Especially as I'm not really a flowery kind of gal!) Love it, thanks for sharing them!
