Yesterday (Saturday) I held the last of my classes for 2014. It was a busy and fun packed morning with lots of chatting and crafting going on. I don’t have a photo of the class to share but thought I would share photos of one of the projects that everyone got to make. There is of course a bit of the Christmas theme going on.
My Friday evening and Saturday morning classes are the same class, that way the people who can’t make one can hopefully make the other. This weekend I had 16 people scheduled to come to the classes (although one had to drop out) so I ordered two sets of the Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit – the aim being that everyone got to make two stars (other things too). Each kit comes with 26 stars so that meant that there were quite a few left over. Everyone one had two different stars and had the option to add ribbon so that they could be hung on the wall or a Christmas tree, or simply have them freestanding on a shelf.
I made four of the stars (three are below) but two lucky people were able to take the remainder home as a mystery prize.
The star on the left was made using the basic star in the kit together with some of the embellishments in the kit.
The middle star was a simple kraft star (no pre-printing) that I decorated using the Many Merry Stars stamp set.
The star on the right was made using two of the stars from the kit – a basic kraft star and also a smaller Cherry Cobbler star. I cut out a star from the centre of the front (you can’t see the hole as it’s hidden by the Gold Glimmer Paper), and added a Gold Glimmer Star to cover the hole. The star that I cut was then stamped using the Many Merry Stars stamp set and then I added the Cherry Cobbler star to the centre.
The picture below shows the finished star in more detail, including the stamped snowflakes on the side of the star.

This weekend may have been my last classes for this year, but I have some exciting news to share. Details of the classes for the first four months of 2015 are now on the Events & Classes page. I have a new class starting in January and if any of you are keen on scrapbooking or are interested in finding out more than the Introduction to Project Life by Stampin’ Up! is the one for you.
