I know I’ve made this type of card before but I will be posting the tutorial for this Envelope Card on Saturday (assuming my travel plans go to plan).
Friday sees the start of my five day long trip back to the UK. No, I’m not travelling on some luxury ship (mores the pity) but heading first to Chicago to help my son move into his dorm at DePaul University. Three days in Chicago – one day to purchase stuff, one day to move all the stuff in and one day to hang around Chicago waiting for an early evening flight. That means, I’ll be back in the UK the following day (next Tuesday).
I would like to say that I’m an old hand at this moving into dorm malarkey, because Jenny started college at Michigan State University last year, but each kid is different and has different needs. Jenny was more about buying lots of “bits” and there were three car loads of it when I moved her out. Michael is more about having to drag him shopping to buy him the bare minimum. He is sharing a room with three other boys (much to his disgust) so I am hoping that one of them will have have bought the big stuff such as the fridge and microwave.
Anyway, the tutorial should post on Saturday morning. It’s nearly written, I just have to work my magic and turn the word document into code – don’t worry there’s an app for that. I am not that technically minded.
In the meantime, here’s a couple of photos – one of the inside and the other the outside (sorry for stating the obvious).
The inside and outside are stamped using two different techniques. For the outside, the image was stamped and then coloured in using a Blender Pen. The inside was stamped using Stampin’ Write markers that I had used to colour the image itself.
Here’s a list of some of the Stampin’ Up! products used, the complete list will be on the tutorial.
The Hello Darling stamp set is one of the sets that we will be using in next month’s All Day Event. All spaces are taken, but if you are interested in attending any of my other classes full details are available on the Events & Classes Page.
