The theme for July’s ILWS swaps that I’m taking part in is ” Show me Something New”. I guess that this could have meant a new technique but I took it to mean something new out the fabulous 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue.
I’m not one for making baby cards, because I’ve not really any need for them at the moment. But one of the sneak peek items that we were able to get out hands on was the Something for Baby stamp set together with the matching Baby’s First Framelits Dies. I knew that I had to have them, just in case my friends become grandparents. To tell the truth it’s really because they are so cute and the framelits can be used for other ideas too. You can purchase both items individually or you can do as I did and purchase them as a Bundle and save 15% on the total price.
This is the swap that I made.
I did in fact make two versions – for a boy and a girl. This was simply because I did not have enough of the Lullaby Designer Series Paper to make all of them using the one sheet. I had limited supplies because the bulk of the paper had been used up at the Team Training in June.
The Designer Series Paper does in fact come as 12″x 12″ sheets and there are two of each of the 6 double sided designs.
I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to ink up the pram image but my ink pads for the ducks and the hangers. I did toy with the idea of only using two ducks but I like the three (even if you can’t see the whole of the pram from these photos – sorry).
You can get one card out of half a sheet of A4 and they are quite easy to make. I’ll be sharing a tutorial on how to make this type of card later this month.
It’s probably going to be awhile before I get my swaps from the other people but I will share them with you once they arrive.
In the meantime, here’s details of what I’ve used to make the above.
