Many of you will have seen various posts on the internet of a project that Julie Kettlewell showed Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators at the UK Regional Training. The project involved making a bag/box out of one sheet of A4 card stock.
One of the things that I love about Stampin’ Up! is that everyone is happy to share ideas and projects. Julie was kind enough to provide detailed cutting and scoring instructions for the bag/box so we made one at this weekend’s classes.
As well as the bag/box, everyone also made 4 cards which fitted neatly inside the box. We used the Petite Petals stamp set to make both the background for the outside of the bag/box and also the flowers on the card fronts. I designed the cards using the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (DSP) so kept to the colours in the DSP – Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana and Real Red.
These are just four of the twelve double sided sheets available in the DSP pack. The sheets are a great size – 11.4 cm x 16.5 cm and you get 48 sheets in total. Don’t forget that the stack will only be available until the end of this month. In fact, all items in the Spring/Summer Catalogue will only be available until 30 June (except for the few continuing into the new Annual Catalogue).
There’s a fair amount of bling on these cards but what the heck.
The bag/box itself was pretty easy to make and it’s something that could be used for many different occasions and is large enough to hold any number of things, not just cards.
