This is the stash of Stampin’ Up! goodies that I brought with me to San Diego. We only travelled with hand luggage, so there wasn’t room for much else, especially since I had to bring George a pair of his shoes (don’t ask). Had anyone opened opened my suitcase up they would have thought I was nuts.
I know I’m only here for a month and I’m not sure I’m going to have that
much spare time, but on the other hand it’s better to be prepared. The question is, what Stampin’ Up! product(s) would you take on holiday to craft with while you are away?
My plan is to make a start on my swaps for the Stampin’ Up! Regional Training event in Telford, which is happening on 17 May. I know that when I get back to the UK on 5 May that I won’t have that much spare time on my hands. Once back in the UK, I’ll be working on a top secret project, so the more swaps I can get done now the better. In any event, I’m not planning on making hundreds, simply because I have no idea what I would do with them all (and I don’t want to be travelling back with hundreds either).
One of the other things I’ll be working on this month is planning for the new Catalogue launch. The new Annual Catalogue will go live in Europe on 1 July. This means that come 1 June there will be a list out of all the items that will be retiring, one of these being the 2012-2014 In Colors, and all things relating to them (card stock, ribbon, ink pads and re-inkers). If one of your favourite colours at the moment is one of the 2012-2014 In Colors (Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals or Raspberry Ripple) then you should seriously think about stocking up now. Come 1 June there is no guarantee how long stocks will last and once they are gone….that’s it.
I will be holding an Open House on 28 June for the Catalogue launch and new catalogues will be going out the middle of June to customers on my Catalogue List. Please contact me if you would like your name added to the list.
Today we are off to Chicago to visit one of the colleges that Michael has applied to. I’ve never been to Chicago so I have no idea what to expect. It’s a four hour flight from here (back the way we came on Saturday), and we will only be there for a little over 24 hours. We head back to San Diego on Tuesday evening arriving 2 hours after we left. I can never get the hang of these time zone changes, and I’m sure it’s going to take my body days to do it.
