Tonight (it’s still Saturday here) I’m taking George to the airport (he is flying back to the UK) which means I’ll have the house all to myself until Jenny comes back from Michigan later in the week. The three weeks I have been here have flown by, and I’m hoping that the next four days will be a little calmer.
I’m sorry to report that the cold that I had three/four weeks ago seems to have returned and I’ve kind of lost my crafting mojo as a result. I usually find that when this happens that the best thing to do is check out the card challenges for a little inspiration. I found one that I liked on the Pals Paper Arts blog so I thought I’d give it a go.
This weeks challenge is a sketch (PPA201) and I thought it would be a good way of using up some of the Designer Series Paper that I have over here. I really don’t want to take it back to the UK to use there. My suitcase is already bulging and I don’t want to resort to having to take a larger one back with me.
This is the sketch that was provided
And, here’s my take on it. I decided to make my version landscape as the stamp is a little too big to fit the card if it’s the other way round! I guess I could have made a bigger card though to accommodate it but decided to keep it the standard UK size.
Great color combination! I agree with Debbie…it's lovely just as it is. Thanks for playing along with us this week at Pals Paper Arts and I hope you feel better!
Fiona, love the simplicity of your card and am personally glad you didn't add more "bling"…it's simply lovely as it is. Thanks for joining us at the Pals Paper Arts this week.
