to get the Vivid Vases stamp and it arrived yesterday just before I was about to go out. Frustrating to say the least, but at least it arrived while I was still home so I avoided a trip to the (not so local) Post Office to collect it.
This morning I took it out of it box and mounted the stamp onto the wooden block, stamped and then realised I hadn’t lined it up and it was on a bit of a slope. I know that I am going to have to fix it or use a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig every time I use it, but just couldn’t wait.
Here’s the two quick cards that I made this morning.
This first one I used the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards as my base card and simply stamped using Jet Black Stazon and then coloured in the vases and flowers using a blender pen and my Stampin’ Write Markers. The trick is to draw with the thick end onto a piece of acetate and then you can pick up the colour with the blender pen.
For this second card I simply stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and then stamped the image again onto a piece of Designer Series Paper. I decided to use the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper for both the background and the flower vases. Once the image was stamped onto the DSP I cut each vase out and then glued it onto the main stamped image. I simply coloured in the flowers with my Stampin’ Write Markers (Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Strawberry Slush)
I’m trying out a new way of displaying the Stampin’ Up! supplies used (you should be able to click on the product and go to my store). Please let me know what you think.
I have classes tonight and tomorrow morning and I’ll share one more of the projects with you over the weekend. I shared one on Wednesday, which was a challenge entry, don’t forget to go check it out if you missed it.
