This week has been really busy with classes, and we went from Christmas to Spring/Summer in the space of 24 hours.
On Friday evening and Saturday morning it was the turn of Spring/Summer (I’ve already shared Thursday’s Christmas card class) and I had some great cards to share. Although classes are primarily about cards I do throw in the occasional 3D item or card with a difference. This month it was a card with a difference.
The card features some of the goodies that you can get free as part of Sale-A-Bration. What’s more, it folds down flat and fits into a standard C6 size envelope. This is great news if you have to post it, although the more you put on it the heavier it gets (sorry for stating the obvious) and the more it costs to post.
Stampin’ Up! supplies used:
Stamp set : Banner Blast (SAB) and Label Love
Ink : Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Black StazOn
Card Stock : Sahara Sand, Coastal Cabana and Whisper White
Designer Series Paper : Sweet Sorbet (SAB)
Accessories : Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Ribbon, Banner and Artisan Label Punches, Flower from Itty Bitty Punches
I found the instructions for this type of card, Freestanding Pop-up
Card, on Splitcoast Stampers. If you would like to know how, here is the
link to the post by Mary Jo Albright.
I know for a fact that a couple of the ladies who came to class went
home and made another but different style for cards that they needed
this weekend.
I have had a great response to Saturday’s announcement of the All Day Craft Event and places are going fast. Don’t miss your spot and email me if you are interested in attending.
The other news I have to share is that my recent card entry into the Freshly Make Sketches Challenge no. 121 was picked by Karren. If you want to check it out, it was my post on 30 January. I’m off now to find a new challenge to enter and hopefully I’ll have something to share with you in the next day or two.
Very unusual, well done
