Welcome to the first Stampin’ Stars blog hop of the year. We have lots to share with you, so grab a cup of tea, coffee or whatever your preferred tipple is for this time of day, sit back and don’t forget those wish lists and pens.
Please note that if you are reading this before 9.00 am some of the links may not be working as we were all supposed to schedule our blogs to go live then.
If you have hopped here from Emma’s blog then welcome. I just love her project. If you need to hop back to check it out again, then click on the link below. If you are starting here, welcome too. I hope you are ready to see all the fabulous projects that people have made. Please feel free to leave comments on the blogs too.
There is a link at the bottom of this post to the next blog, and also a
list of everyone taking part just in case you get lost on your travels
around the blogs.
So, without further ado here are the projects I have been working on over the last few days. I wanted to feature the new Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper and I thought I would also make use of the fabulous new Scallop Tag Topper Punch plus a few other things of course.
These three boxes were made out of 2″ strips of card stock (Baked Brown Sugar and Calypso Coral) and the Scallop Tag Topper Punch. They are so cute and the boxes are large enough (they measure 2″ x 2″ x 2″) to contain some sweets or small gift.
Stampin’ Up! supplies used (page numbers relate to the Spring/Summer Catalogue):
Stamp set : Starburst Sayings (pg 34)
Ink : Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar and Tangerine Tango
Card Stock : Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango and Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper : Retro Fresh (pg 19)
Accessories : Starburst Framelits Dies (pg 34) , Retro Fresh Washi Tape (pg 19), Brights Candy Dots, 7/16″ Natural Trim, Linen Thread, Scallop Tag Topper Punch (pg 35), and 1-1/4″ Circle Punch.
The Starburst Sayings stamp set and Framelits are available as a bundle, so you can save 15% by buying these together.
I also made a card using some of the Retro Fresh DSP. I love the colour combination in this paper collection. I guess being a child of the 60s it bring back lots of childhood memories.

Love the cute boxes and matching card. Just the addition of the twine like that really changes the look of the card. Wouldn't have thought of that. The die almost seems made for it!
