Yesterday most certainly didn’t go as planned. I woke up in the morning to find out that the flight that my daughter Jenny was flying in on from Detroit had been cancelled. It took a couple of hours to work out what exactly had happened. In the end, she arrived 10.00 pm last night, a mere 11 hours after she was originally due. I had to go collect her from the airport because I was the only one around that could, my husband George having left for the USA yesterday morning. This meant that I had to cancel my last class of the year.
I was hoping to share today that we were due to make last night. Instead, I thought I’d share another of my Christmas cards. To be perfectly honest I am getting a little tired of making Christmas cards but needs must. I’ve made 20 of these, so that means I have another 50 still to go, gulp. The next 20 will be of a different design etc.
This is what my pile of 20 looks like.
You can just about see the Dazzling Diamonds on the cards |
I’ve been using my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set again |
This is the inside |
Stampin’ Up! supplies used:
Stamp sets : Gorgeous Grunge, Greetings of the Season, Petite Pairs and Happy Hour
Card Stock : Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Whisper White
Ink : Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive (ink pads and markers)
Accessories : Dazzling Diamonds, 7/8″ Scallop and 1″ Circle Punches, and Dimensionals
I wanted to keep these cards fairly simple because I have so many to make and I also wanted to keep them fairly “flat” to keep postage down – there is only one dimentional so the card should be as a standard rate 1st or 2nd class letter.
My kitchen table currently looks like the glitter fairly has been, but oh well. It’s face it, it’s not Christmas without a little glitter.
