I know that I’ve already shared a couple of projects made using the Regarding Dahlias stamp set and I’ve been wracking my brains and trying to think of other techniques to use with the set.
Today I’m sharing a card that I made by simply embossing the stamped image. I had seen a card on the internet by a US demo, Sandi MacIver which I thought was lovely. I have to admit that I’ve CASED it for this post but changed the colours and the greeting in the centre.
I stamped the image four times and used Pool Party embossing powder on two of the images and Clear embossing powder on the other two.
Stampin’ Up! supplies used:
Stamp sets : Regarding Dahlias and Label Love
Card Stock : Whisper White, Pool Party and Island Indigo
Ink : Pool Party and Island Indigo Stampin’ Write Markers and VersaMark
Accessories : Pool Party and Clear Embossing Powders, Artisan Label Punch, Basic Rhinestone and Dimensionals
The “greeting” in the middle of the card is popped up on a Pool Party label that’s has been cut in half and then split so that part shows at the bottom and part at the top. This is a favourite trick of mine and one that I teach everyone who comes to class. It can be used with all sorts of punches and looks fab on any of the label punches.
I’m heading off the States again on Sunday but will have one more Regarding Dahlias project to share with you then.
