Well, I’m still here in the UK. The doctor has now given Jenny the ok to travel so we will be heading to San Diego on Saturday, six days later than planned.
The last couple of days have been busy with doctor’s appointments and getting ourselves ready for Jenny starting uni in the states. I have managed to do some crafting in preparation for the Open House in September and also completed other bits and pieces. If you would like to see some of the Open House projects I will posting details later this month.
For one of the projects I made yesterday I used August’s “Best Of” stamp set, the Best of Shelli. This is the third stamp set in the “Best of” series of five. They will be available until 31 March 2014 or while stocks last.
Here’s one of the cards that I made using the typewriter image from the set of seven.
I combined the stamped image with an embossed background using the Alphabet Press embossing folder which is a new product in the Annual Catalogue. I highlighted the raised embossed letters and numbers by sponging them with some Baked Brown Sugar ink.
Stampin’ Up! supplies used:
Stamp set : Best of Shelli
Card stock : Bermuda Bay, Crisp Cantaloupe, Very Vanilla
Ink : Soft Suede and Baked Brown Sugar
Accessories : Designer Frames and Alphabet Press Embossing Folders, Baked Brown Sugar Ruffle Stretch Trim, Sponge, Paper Snips and Dimensionals
I love the new Ruffle Stretch Trim, it made it so easy to fix it neatly around the corners of the frame. I have a few more projects to share over the next few days but I am going to have to schedule those posts so hopefully they will all appear when they should.
