It’s Sunday and I’m recovering from the flight home from the USA and yesterday’s craft fair. Today’s post has some of the last of the cards that I made while I was in the USA. I have a few more to share with you over the next few days so don’t forget to check back.
Tomorrow I am off on a week’s holiday with George, my husband. We were very lucky because we won the holiday and have been looking forward to it since we found out. It’s our only chance of some time away together this summer – George will be away for my birthday later this month. And, to top it all I will be away for our 30th Wedding Anniversary in August – taking our daughter to college in Michigan. The things we do for our kids.
Any, today I have four cards to share with you – all made using the Quatrefancy Speciality Designer Series Paper.
This was a pretty simple card to make – I love this Pumpkin Pie design and it goes so well with Island Indigo. The greeting comes from the Label Love stamp set and the co-ordinating Artisan Label Punch makes it so easy to cut out the greeting just right. The Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon livens the whole card even more.
Another fairly simple card once I had worked out the mathematics of how much Designer Series Paper to cut for each square. I tied the colours of the four different squares together using the mixed DSP in the centre. The four colours being Pumpkin Pie, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo. I turned the centre square 90° and mounted it on Dimensionals. A Basic Rhinestone in the middle adds that little bit of bling.
For this card I used the Mosaic Punch and punched out four times at 90° to each other (once I had marked the centre of the card front). I mounted this on top of a piece of the Quatrefancy DSP and then added a circle of Island Indigo card stock with a smaller circle of another piece of DSP.
For the last card I embossed a piece of Pool Party card stock using the Modern Mosaic Embossing folder – I only embossed the top part because I wanted the Quartrefancy DSP to lie flat on top of the bottom half. I added a piece of Whisper White stitched grosgrain ribbon (with a simple knot to one side) and a greeting using the Label Love stamp set.
So, there you have it. Four different cards, so I hope that there is something here that appeals to you.
