Hands up if you are a paper hoarder like me.
Yesterday I thought it was about time that I started to sort out all my retiring (and retired) Designer Series Paper (DSP) to make way for the new DSP and card stock coming our way 2 July. Oh boy, it’s just as well that my husband didn’t come to check on me. Let’s just say I didn’t know just how much I have!
I have a few unopened packs that will find their way to new homes later this year but I also have quite a few that have been opened. I’ve decided that I really do need to use up some of the open packs so here’s a card I made using Patio Party Designer Series Paper.
A view of the front.
A view of the inside. I opted to decorate the inside because the Midnight Muse card stock is too dark to write on, but the Whisper White card stock looked too stark. So, I solved the problem by stamping an image using the Make a Cake stamp set. I had to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure that I had the top layer of the cake on straight.
Stampin’ Up! supplies used:
Stamp set : Teeny Tiny Sentiments and Make a Cake
Ink: Midnight Muse and Perfect Primrose
Card Stock : Whisper White and Midnight Muse
Designer Series Paper : Patio Party
Accessories : Scallop Oval and Extra Large Oval punches, Stamp-a-ma-jig and Dimensionals
I’ll have another project to share tomorrow so check back to see what I’ve been up to.
We must have been on the same wavelength yesterday as I was doing exactly the same thing and like you have a huge pile of opened and part used papers. I didn't make anything though – just put them in another drawer!
