Having made the challenge based card yesterday where I had to feature Scallops, I decided to take it one step further and make Scallops a feature in the projects that I make this week.
Yesterday, I used the Scallop Edgelit Die from the Apothecary Edgelits set and today it is the turn of the Scallop Border Trim Punch.
On this card I punched the scallop trim in the same colour card stock as the base card. I wanted to add it as a feature but at the same time I did not want to detract from the embossed panel. I don’t usually tend to use the colours in the Subtles Collection but this is the second project this week as I’ve fallen for this underused (by me) collection.
Stampin’ Up! supplies used:
Card Stock : Rose Red, Perfect Plum and Whisper White
Designer Series Paper : Subtles Color Collection Designer Series Paper Pack
Accessories : Scallop Border Trim and 1/2″ Circle punches, Flower Garden Folder, Basic Pearls and Dimensionals.
I have some Stampin’ Up! exciting news to share with you today.
Last November Stampin’ Up! introduced the Simply Sent App for iPhones and iPads. This is a quick and simple way of sending an electronic card created by you. Those of you with Android devices have unfortunately had to wait until now, but you too can now download this FREE App. The Android App can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. As a reminder to those of you with iPads or iPhones the App can be downloaded FREE of charge from iTunes or the App Store. Why not check it out and surprise your friends and family? Have fun.
Also, if you didn’t manage to get your hands on a free Petite Curly Punch during Sale-A-Bration (SAB) they are now available for purchase (as hinted in the SAB catalogue). The cost is £11.50 and they will be available through 30 June. Please note that they will also be included in the 2013-2014 Annual Catalogue (coming 1 July) so they will be here for some time to come. Hooray, I love how it co-ordinates with the Ciao Baby stamp set in the Spring/Summer Seasonal Catalogue.
