I originally anticipated that I would have 9 ladies at yesterday’s stamp-a-stack class but ended up with 10 (which was ok because I had enough supplies cut for 10 just in case) plus 3 gate crashers. I am not sure if the ladies who came over “bumped” into the gate crashers but I was certainly surprised to see them on my door step when the last people left.
Here are a couple of photos of them.
As usual everyone made 4 of each of the 3 designs. I admit that in order to make this happen I had pre-cut and folded the base cards and all the other pieces of card stock needed.
Scentsational Season stamp set – I think that this card was a favourite of many of the ladies. A simple but effective card to make. The ink used was Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Night of Navy. The greeting comes from the Polar Party stamp set.
Dasher – I am sorry to see this single stamp go. When I planned the cards it was a couple of months ago and I did not anticipate it selling out quite so quickly once the Retirement List was out. The Soft Suede card stock was embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder and Dasher and the greeting (from Delightful Dozen stamp set) were stamped in Versamark and then embossed using Gold Embossing powder.
Everything Eleanor stamp set – this has to be one of my favourite stamp sets. I was trying to figure out a way to make it suitable for Christmas and from yesterday’s comments I think I succeeded. The swirls are Old Olive but I stamped off before stamping the card. The wreath and the bird are also from the Everything Eleanor set and by adding a little Real Red it gives the whole card a Christmas feel.
I hope that you like the cards that everyone made. Please feel free to leave comments as it is always nice to get feedback on things.
