OK, so I had hoped that I would be able to show you the project that I made on Monday evening at Jenny’s home. The two of us spent a lovely evening designing a DVD Case photo album. I will be bringing mine back to the UK to share in September in the run up to the new Catalogue launch. But, if you can’t wait to have a look at what we came up with, I will put a link to her blog on here, but only once she has posted it on there. The idea was based on an album that Jenny had received from her sister, but we included more pages to make better use of the DVD case.
The album features one of the new Scrapbooking Kits that will be available in the new Catalogue (or so we hope). We used one kit between the two of us and we both still have plenty of stickers, DSP and card stock left to make a few cards.
Because I can’t show you my album, here is a card that I have just made using the Reason to Smile stamp set.
I used Whisper White card base along with some Island Indigo DSP and card stock.
The Reason to Smile stamp set is a 2 Step Stamping set. This means that you can stamp the base and then over stamp with another stamp that matches the outline. I am not one of those people who have the need to get their Stamp-a-ma-jig out every time I use a 2 Step Stamping Set (not that I have one with me here in San Diego) although there is nothing wrong with that. I quite like the slightly offset back ground on this card. I used Pool Party for the background and then over stamped with Island Indigo. I did in fact use a third stamp in the centre of the flower so I guess you can call this a 3 Step Stamping card. In case you hadn’t already guessed, the greeting comes from the Curly Cute stamp set.
Remember this set is August’s SU offer and you have the option to either buy it (£18.95 for wood mount and £14.95 for clear) or receive it free if you make a £60 purchase (excluding p&p) this month. This set is only available until the end of the month as are products in the Summer Mini Catalogue. Don’t miss out.
I will be travelling home over the next few days and I haven’t had a chance to schedule posts for the next few days. Please check back in a couple of days to see what’s in store. Alternatively, you can sign up for email updates using the link at the bottom of the left column on this page.
