Thank you Dawn Ruth (The Constant Crafter) for awarding me the Liebster Blog Award. I have to admit that I am always a little wary of these sorts of things, but having met Dawn at the Make It show I realised that this was a genuine thing. On checking Dawn’s blog I found that this award is given to bloggers who inspire you and have less than 200 followers. If you “google” the award there are lots of recipients but “wikipedia” have no results so there is no real way of checking the origins. As I understand it from all the other blogs, The Liebster Award takes it’s name from the German word meaning Beloved, Dearest or Favourite. At the end of the day, it’s not important where the origins are, it’s just really lovely to be recognised by fellow bloggers, so a HUGE THANK YOU to you Dawn Ruth.
As an award winner all that is required of you, in accepting the award is to adhere to the tradition that you pass the award along to five bloggers that have motivated and inspired you. Sort of passing on the love. Oh and put the award on your blog somewhere for all to see – depending on how subtle you want to be about it. You may note that in this case I’m not going to be that subtle!
To accept the award you must also:
1. Link back to the person who gave it to you and thank them.
2. Post the award to your blog.
3. Give the award to five bloggers with less than 200 followers that you appreciate and value.
4. Leave a comment on the 5 blogs to let them know that they have been offered this award.
So, my five favourite small blogs are as follows:
1. Blue Angel Crafts – Cate Terry. She is my “Stampin’ Up! Mum” but her blog covers all sorts of lovely things and some of her life adventures.
2. The Crafty Bug – Julie Halls. Julie always has lots of lovely projects to share and as you will see from her blog, she keeps herself really busy.
3. Jaded Crafter – Jade Stutely. Jade makes fabulous cards with all sorts of different techniques and supplies (not just stamps and ink).
4. Crafting Alison – Alison has so much energy and enthusiasm for crafting that it’s infectious. Apart from organising many of the swaps on the demo side of In Love with Stamping her blog shows her enthusiasm.
5.Crafty Ducks – Diane Marlow. A lovely chatty site with lots of lovely inspiration.
I hope all my nominees accept the award and are inspired to pass it on.
oops!
Thank you so much fiona – it is really appreciated and such an encouragement to keep bogging!
