Here is another card from our team Baggie Book day.
What I’ve not told you is that some of the card designs that everyone cased were my mine. I spent a fun morning with Cate, my upline (and using some of the product that I don’t yet have) and between us we managed to design quite a few for the day. This one is one of mine.
The card base is Melon Mambo with a piece of Elegant Eggplant matted onto it. I was doing my best to use up some of the many scraps that Cate has accumulated over the years, so the Old Olive DSP was cut using the large Scallop Circle die because I did not have a large enough piece to make a complete circle. It’s amazing what you can do with scraps and I think that this design works really well.
Another piece of Melon Mambo was punched out using the new Large Scallop Circle punch and the heart was embossed onto it using white embossing powder. Similarly, the sentiment was embossed onto the Elegant Eggplant using White Embossing powder. The wording on the sentiment reminded me of a song (Just the way you are) by Billy Joel and also sung by Barry White (showing my age now) as one of the lines was … “I love you just the way you are” – it brings back lots of happy memories.
I know that this colour combination will not be to everyone’s taste but personally I really like it, and whats more it looks better in real life than in this photo. I would have taken another photo had I realised how bad this one is, but the weather at the moment is not giving enough light to do this without the lights on and I keep getting shadows. Sorry, I will try and replace it later and re-post.
I love this card, and apologies for not knowing it was your design (or perhaps forgetting!)… and not giving you the credit on my blog post recently 🙁 x
