As a new Demonstrator I’d not taken part in a Bookathon before until the one held in November 2011. As an incentive we were given the choice of a free stamp set from a couple of sets from the Spring Mini Catalogue. I chose to receive the Fruits and Flowers set.

Here are a couple of the cards that I have made so far.
The base card is made from Soft Suede card stock that I have stamped also with Soft Suede ink. I used Cherry Cobbler and Lucky Limeade Stampin’ Write Markers to stamp the image onto a piece of Whisper White card stock before punching it out using the large 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle punch from the mini to punch. I also punched out another scallop circle in Lucky Limeade and glued the scalloped image on top before sponging the edges with a Sponge Dauber and a little Soft Suede ink.
The birthday message comes from the Perfect Punches stamp set and I used Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler markers to ink the image. I used the Oval Scallop punch for the image but the background is a piece of Lucky Limeade that was punched using the Modern Label punch.
This little square card was made using Lucky Limeade card stock as the base, with a piece of Island Indigo matted onto it. The three fruit images were inked using my Stampin’ Write marker pens in Cherry Cobbler and Lucky Limeade. A fourth piece of whisper white was stamped with a message from the Teeny Tiny stamp set. The images were punched out using the Square Scallop punch and then glued onto the card. I popped two of the images onto Stampin’ Dimensionals to give a little bit of added interest.
Don’t forget you only have a chance to buy product from the Spring Mini until 31 April and to take advantage of Sale-a-Bration until 30 March. Please contact me if there is anything you would like to purchase.
I am now in full swing “Make It” mode with final preparations for the stand. After my last blog, Jade (a very talented fellow Blue Angel) very kindly emailed me with instructions of how to post date blogs. So, I plan to write a couple over the next few days and give it a try. If you don’t see anything over the next week then you will know that things have gone wrong, so apologies in advance if things don’t work out as I hope. Hope to see you at Make It in Farnborough.
