This is a second peak at some of the things I’ve made using new product from the Spring 2012 Mini Catalogue. I can’t tell you what all the new things are, but those of you familiar with Stampin’ Up! products can probably tell.
This little box would make a great gift for a birthday or valentines present. You can fill it with favourite chocolates or that little special gift. Thank you Joanne (jomumo4 is her In Love With Stamping name) for posting the tutorial on the ILWS web-site.
The gift box was made from Soft Suede card stock and the background was stamped with Soft Suede ink using a small stamp from one of the new stamp sets in the Spring 2012 Mini Catalogue. The flap on the box was made from a piece of Designer Series Paper that matches the stamp set.
The flower was made from a piece of Soft Suede card stock that had been punched out using the Scallop Circle punch,You can’t really see it, but there are five layers to the flower (including the pearl), the soft suede scallop circle has been scrunched and then carefully pulled apart to give you two layers. This added texture but it cannot be seen too well in the photo.
Please check back in a couple of days for another sneak peek.
Also, I can give you advance warning now of a Blog Hop that will be taking place on 4 January. This is a must for all those who love Stampin’ Up! products as there will be 22 blogs (at the last count) that you will be able to check out for inspiration and ideas using product from the Spring 2012 Mini Catalogue.
