A while ago I went to a class where we made cards using the owl punch and I will upload photos of them sometime in the future. However, with christmas on it’s way the Owl Builder Punch gave me an idea for some cute bookmarks.
The bookmarks have been made with scraps of various colours of cardstock (chocolate chip, real red, whisper white, basic black and a bit of daffodil delight). I also used Crystal Effects for some of the eyes (penguin and robin) and noses (reindeer). Other than the Owl Builder Punch I also used a small scalloped square punch and a small snowflake punch that I found in my craft room.
I have to give credit to Elizabeth Shannon of Elizabeth’s Craft Room for the robin as I was having problems with the wings until I saw her blog.
If you don’t yet have the Owl Builder Punch but would like to get one, please contact me as I can order one for you and have it delivered anywhere within the UK.
I used the "breast" part of the owl punch. Cut it in half length-ways (from centre of V down) and then trimmed on the cut part (what would have been the centre) until I had a shape that I liked. It took me awhile to end up with something I was happy with, but once cut I used it as a template for the others. Hope you can figure it out from this. Have fun. Fiona
Which punch did you use for the robin's arms? I can't figure it out.
